EPS Cold Compactor Machine
Qinfeng's Foam Cold Compactor, as a cold pressing processing equipment designed for foam materials, has shown great potential and value in the field of environmental protection and resource recycling. It is an efficient, energy-saving and environmentally friendly equipment that compresses waste or excess foam materials into compact, greatly reduced-volume blocks through cold pressing technology, thus solving the problem that foam materials are bulky, difficult to handle and store.
Foam recycling compactor can process materials such as EPS, EPP, XPS, EPE, etc. It can reduce the size of EPS materials, and the compression ratio can reach 1:30-1:50. The density of the block can reach 350-400kg/cubic meter. For recycled foam particle producers, it becomes a high-value recyclable commodity.
The control unit of the foam plastic compactor is based on the PLC automatic control system, and the peripheral circuit performance is extremely reliable. First, the material is broken into small sizes with the crusher and screen on the compactor. Then after the material falls into the screw, the main motor pushes the material forward into the compaction tank through the screw. Then the hydraulic system presses the EPS material, and the EPS material will come out in block form.
Qinfeng has different models of foam cold compactor: CF-CP150 EPS Cold Compactor, CF-CP250 EPS Cold Compactor, CF-CP380 EPS Cold Compactor, CF-HCP400 EPS Compactor, EPS Cold Compactor CF-CP Line.

CF-CP150 EPS Cold Compactor Machine

The CF-CP150 foam recycling compactor designed by Qinfeng Machinery is suitable for situations with small space and small capacity. The cold pressing unit can process EPS, EPP, and EPE foam materials, including food trays, cups, and small boxes. Used in small spaces, non-toxic, odorless and environmentally friendly.
CF-CP250 EPS Cold Compactor Machine

The CF-CP250 Foam recycling compactor machine is used to process EPS, EPP, EPS materials in medium-sized garbage recycling centers with a compaction ratio of 1:30-1:50.
Most polystyrene products are currently not recycled due to the lack of incentive to invest in the compactors and logistical systems required.
CF-CP380 EPS Cold Compactor Machine

CF-CP380 foam recycling compactor is used for the big size waste recycling center, the EPS, EPP, EPS material can all treated by this unit. The pressing ratio is 1:30-1:50.
Most polystyrene products are currently not recycled due to the lack of incentive to invest in the compactors and logistical systems required. Due to the low density of polystyrene foam,
CF-CP400 EPS Cold Compactor Machine

CF-HCP400 foam recycling compactor is used for the big size waste recycling center, the EPS, EPP, EPS material can all treated by this unit. The density of the block can reach 350-400kg/cubic meter.
However, if the waste material goes through an initial compaction process, the material changes density from typically 30 kg/m3 to 400 kg/m3. It becomes a recyclable commodity of high value for producers of recycled plastic pellets.

Styrofoam Cold Compactor Advantages
Foam cold compactor equipment stands out among numerous processing equipment due to its unique advantages and is a powerful assistant for efficient production.
Low Energy Consumption
Cold compactor require no heat during operation, significantly reducing energy consumption and operating costs compared to hot melt machines.
Preserves Material Properties
Because the compression process is physical, the chemical or physical properties of the foam are not altered. This makes the compressed foam blocks ideal for applications where the integrity of the original material must be preserved for reprocessing and recycling of certain high-end plastic products.
Simple Operation and Low Maintenance
Cold compactor is generally simpler in design, making them easier to operate and maintain, without requiring frequent replacement of high-wear parts.
No Odor or Fumes
Because there's no heat involved in the melting process, cold presses don't generate odors or potentially harmful fumes associated with burning or heating plastic, resulting in a cleaner and safer working environment.

EPS waste is extremely lightweight but bulky, often taking up a significant amount of space due to its low density. For example, 1 cubic meter of loose EPS waste typically weighs only 10-20 kg but occupies a large volume, making storage and transportation inefficient without compression.
The compression ratio of an EPS compactor typically ranges from 30:1 to 50:1, depending on the machine model and the type of EPS material. This means the volume of EPS waste can be reduced to 1/30th to 1/50th of its original size, significantly optimizing storage and transportation.
Compacted EPS blocks usually have standardized dimensions, such as 30 cm x 30 cm x 40 cm or similar, depending on the compactor model. These blocks are dense and uniform, making them easy to handle, store, and transport.
Yes, compacted EPS blocks are designed to be stackable. Their uniform shape and high density allow them to be securely stacked, maximizing storage space and simplifying logistics.
Reduces volume: Significantly decreases storage and transportation costs.
Eco-friendly: Prevents EPS waste from ending up in landfills or oceans.
Cost-effective: Lowers disposal fees and creates recyclable material.
Efficient: Converts bulky waste into manageable, stackable blocks for easy recycling.
