Application of Thermal Compaction Technology in Foam Recycling-EPS Compactor

Processing Techniques for Special Foam Materials

In the treatment of specialized foam materials such as EPP and EPE, thermal compaction technology( EPS Compactor) demonstrates distinct advantages. By precisely controlling heating temperatures, the equipment effectively melts the surface of foam blocks, achieving superior compression results after cooling and solidification. This method is particularly suitable for EPE foam recycling, producing compacted blocks with higher density and stability.

International Policy Support and Market Opportunities

Globally, policy initiatives are driving the expansion of the foam recycling equipment market. The German Plastics Recycling Association (bvse) recently announced that, starting January 1, 2025, recycling enterprises may apply for energy subsidies to purchase foam compaction equipment. This development has garnered significant attention from clients in Germany, the U.S., France, the Netherlands, and other regions. As an equipment supplier, we are capable of providing relevant documentation and evidence to support subsidy applications.

Equipment Safety and Specialized Processing

Regarding the specific performance of the Qinfeng foam compactor, the Qinfeng EPS Compactor can reduce waste volume to 1/50–1/90 of its original size. Compared to large-scale recycling equipment, compact recycling systems offer greater cost-effectiveness. For instance, the CF-HM200 EPS compactor is designed for small to medium-sized waste recycling centers, processing EPS, EPP, and EPE materials to reduce waste volume by 80%–90%.

The equipment design prioritizes operational safety and processing efficiency. A semi-enclosed hopper structure effectively prevents dust dispersion during crushing, while integrated safety switches automatically cut power upon hopper opening. This configuration ensures operator safety while maintaining stable continuous production.

Core Crushing System with Technical Expertise

The equipment employs a dual-shaft crushing system, equipped with 9 and 10 sets of specially arranged blades, respectively. These staggered blade sets efficiently grasp and force materials into the crushing chamber. Independently driven by dual gearboxes, the system delivers enhanced power output, working in tandem with precision bottom sieving to achieve optimal particle size reduction.

Industry Application Prospects

With increasing environmental regulations worldwide and steady advancements in recycling technology, foam compaction equipment is seeing broader adoption in foam waste management. From specialized foam material processing to comprehensive recycling optimization, we look forward to collaborating with partners to contribute to the future of circular economy solutions.
